WHO condemns attacks on healthcare workers in Yemen

The World Health Organization director general, Margaret Chan, has urged the warring parties in Yemen to stop attacking health workers and health facilities.

Chan said that the conflict, which has been going on for 10 weeks, had seen widespread violations of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Convention for the protection of health facilities, staff, and patients.
