Maybe you first noticed me at the back of your ward round, remarking to yourself that you had not been expecting a new registrar. I wear suede brogues and genuinely smart trousers, and I have a beard that can’t be classed as designer stubble. My shirts are always ironed, and I am never hung over at work.
