A locum consultant anaesthetist who put two patients’ lives at risk through “multiple basic errors” has been struck off the medical register.
Sebastian Fernando’s actions “fell short in almost all aspects” of the care of Patient A, a 72 year old man who had two cardiac arrests in February 2013 during a knee replacement operation at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Cheshire, the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service found.
