The real deal Mediterranean diet is healthier

Dear Editors,

I suspect that positive results would have been even more pronounced if all these Nurses lived in the South of Europe and consumed the real Mediterranean diet, and not copycat vegetable oil mixtures, imitative yogurt desserts, but pesticide-free vegetables nuts legumes and grains, biologically cultivated fruits, hormone free beef, antibiotic free chicken meat, superior quality wines, all without preservatives used in the supermarket packages, nurtured and grown by the hot Mediterranean sun instead of in intensive greenhouses!
