Surgeon gives patient a vasectomy by mistake

A surgeon in Liverpool has been suspended from operating pending an investigation, after a man who was booked for a minor urological operation was given a vasectomy instead.

Surgeons performed a reversal, but it is not yet certain whether the procedure, which has a success rate of only around 55%, has been effective.
