Priorities for the next Indian government’s reform of healthcare

India urgently needs healthcare reform. Unfortunately, however, health does not feature high on the priority list of any political party, even though it is necessary for socioeconomic development and the creation of a healthy workforce. This move by The BMJ seems to be an enlightened step towards guiding the next government in its attempts to set up an appropriate agenda for India’s public health.1

I agree with the expert views on this subject, but I would like to mention a few more priorities for the next government. I believe that the following areas should form the core national health agenda of the next government and should be endorsed by all the parties.
