Thomas Hugh Willson (“Tom”) attended St Albans School before going up to Queen’s College, Oxford, to study zoology in 1976, obtaining a 2nd. He subsequently funded himself through medical school, playing guinea pig in many medical trials.
After finishing house jobs in St Albans and Barnet, he completed GP training, and obtained a principal’s position at Burvill House Surgery in Hatfield. One of his first tasks was to try to referee a difficult negotiation between the …
