A doctor who was convicted of dishonestly billing his NHS employer for time that he never worked has been allowed to resume unrestricted practice after his registration was suspended for nine months.
While working as a locum at Maidstone Hospital in Kent in 2011, Sunil Parmar submitted six time sheets for weekend duties that he had never performed, faxing them directly to the locum agency instead of passing them through the emergency department consultant’s secretary as hospital rules required.
