Methodological concerns about studies on oseltamivir for flu

We recently published a meta-analysis of published and unpublished studies on the effectiveness of oseltamivir for treating flu.1 Unlike industry sponsored meta-analyses,2 3 we found no reduction in complications requiring antibiotics (after excluding acute bronchitis, which does not require treatment with antibiotics according to current practice guidelines) and no reduction in hospital admission rates. …
