Surgeon is struck off for repeatedly lying to patient over brain tumour removal

A consultant neurosurgeon who falsely told a patient that he had removed all her brain tumour and maintained the lie for nearly two years has been struck off by the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) for misconduct that was “fundamentally incompatible with his continuing to practise medicine.”
