The Affordable Care Act is on track to save $190bn (£120bn; €140bn) more than predicted, because intense price competition on the new health insurance exchanges has driven premium prices well below earlier projections, a new report says.1

The lower premiums, in turn, will reduce the number of uninsured people by an additional 700 000, the report finds.
