Doctors should accept they are no longer primary decision makers in care, says think tank

Doctors have to change their view of themselves as the primary decision makers in care and shift to a partnership model that allows patients to play an active part in determining their own care, a health think tank has said.

The King’s Fund claims that it is time for a new approach to caring for people with long term conditions that involves doctors being more proactive and preventive in their approach.
