Seethadevi Mahadeva (“Seetha”) worked for 13 years in Sri Lanka at Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital, De Soyza Maternity Hospital, and as a company doctor at Reckitt and Coleman Pharmaceuticals, before serving in two rounds for a total of 27 years in the UK NHS. She was a registrar at Highcroft Hospital, Birmingham, before joining Sutton Coldfield and Erdington’s community health team, from which she retired in 1998. In her last 15 years she joined her husband in literary work and in publishing books, declining part time locum and relief medical work.
From 2006 the couple had been co-patrons of Eelavar Literature Academy of Britain (ELAB), based in London. Seetha wrote over 60 published articles in English and Tamil, more than 40 of which appear in the illustrated volume Dr …
