This extraordinary study gives us much to ponder with the double burden of malnutrition worldwide. My only regret is that they were unable to control for a potential confounder: duration and exclusivity of breastfeeding is negative associated both with maternal obesity and with later child heart disease and related diseases. It would be good to further sort this out when data allow.
