YODA and truth seeking in medicine

Re: YODA and truth seeking in medicine

Like its Star Wars namesake, the wise Jedi master Yoda, Yale’s Open Data Access (YODA) is a call for truth and wisdom. But is data the same as truth, and will data lead to wisdom? I fear that it will not, because we are already drowning in data about pharmaceutical research. Instead, I suggest that we need a new non-pharmaceutical philosophy of life and health that emphasizes the commonsense avoidance of toxins and addictions, both of which are common, covert causes of sickness, and both of which implicate pharmaceuticals as causes and not cures.
