The chief executive of the Irish Medical Organisation has taken early retirement amid concerns among members of the doctors’ representative body about its ability to fund his retirement package.
George McNeice has left with a package worth around €9.7m (£7.9m; $12.6m), including a pension fund of about €4.5m, a contractual termination payment of €1.5m, and delayed pension payments of €3.75m.
