Re: Measuring hospital clinical outcomes

The Francis report into the Mid Staffs scandal has renewed the debate about comparable measures of clinical quality and mortality (1). At the same time, we hear about the rise of the patient reported outcome measure (2). Perhaps what we need is a measure of hospital standardised compassion.
