Charles Anthony Higgins

Born in Worksop into a non-medical family (his father worked for the Yorkshire Penny Bank in Worksop and later in Huddersfield), Charles Anthony Higgins was able to study medicine at Guy’s Hospital because he was awarded a Kitchener scholarship and grants from the Thomas Wall Trust and Sir Richard Stapley Educational Trust.
