Doctors who take on leadership roles are considered to have gone over to “dark side,” report says

The NHS must fill the vacuum in medical leadership in the health service by creating more desirable and attractive leadership roles for doctors, a new report has concluded.1

Research by the University of Birmingham’s Health Services Management Centre and the health think tank the King’s Fund aimed to provide an up to date picture of medical leadership structures in NHS trusts in England.
