As a medical student who has just finished and very much enjoyed an Obs and Gynae placement, I read this article with great interest. I thank the authors for their interesting and relevant research.
One of the things I learnt from my teaching on this placement was the importance of timing in obstetric medicines. The importance of tocolytic agents is in part, increasing time available to make management decisions for both the mother and the baby [1].
On reviewing this article I cannot find details of when the tocolytic agents were actually started in the labour.
