Many foundation trusts face tough financial future, warns Monitor

A growing number of England’s 144 foundation trusts are likely to face financial problems over the next three years, says a review by independent regulating body Monitor.1

Foundation trusts are forecasting a decline in income and greater financial risk as they attempt to meet growing demand while simultaneously making substantial cuts in costs, says the review of their annual plans.
