(Philip) Kevin Murphy was a prominent, insightful and committed public health doctor in England, Wales, the Channel Islands, and Ireland. The third youngest of seven sons and one daughter, he enjoyed a fortunate childhood in Kilrane, County Wexford. His family were at the centre of village life though entwined agriculture, general merchant, post office, and local development enterprises.
