Re: White rice consumption and risk of type 2 diabetes: meta-analysis and systematic review
An enlightning analysis. Sad that it has not caught the general media attention. If this was published in the lay press it should work wonders and save millions of lives and save healthcare costs in the poorest of the nations.
It is surprising why the food industry dishes out white rice instead of brown rice.White rice is less nutritious, more expensive to produce and lacks fibre. But paradoxically in the markets brown rice is rarely seen and is prohibitively expensive, even in developed countries.
We need more publicity for this, like we had for trans-fats.
