More than three quarters of doctors think health bill should be withdrawn

Three quarters of GPs and 84% of psychiatrists think that the Health and Social Care Bill should be withdrawn, according to surveys by their respective royal colleges published as the bill was being debated in the House of Lords.

The surveys of more than 1900 members of the Royal College of General Practitioners and 1890 of the Royal College of Psychiatrists found that only 4% and 12%, respectively, agreed that the reforms would result in better care of patients.
