US paediatricians have urged media giant CBS Outdoor to stop showing an advertisement in Times Square because they say it is putting children’s lives at risk.
The 15 second advertisement, which runs hourly, 18 hours a day until 28 April, shows a woman cradling a baby and the statement, “Vaccines: Know the Risks.” The advertisement then fades to an image of the Statue of Liberty with the words, “Vaccination. Your health. Your family. Your choice.”
The advertisement is sponsored by the National Vaccine Information Center and Mercola.com, two organisations widely perceived to be anti-vaccine. The centre states that it “supports the availability of the …
