Recently, I have been made to give up telephonic transcription of case notes in exchange for a voice recognition computer program called Dragonspeak, which recognises medical terminology and is trainable to the voice of its user. After a few minutes of practice, it was transcribing my medical notes accurately, but I thought I’d give it a little test with a few lines of Shakespeare.
