  1. Tom Eve

Richard Charles Eve was best known for his work in GP education, creating and piloting PUNs and DENs (patient’s unmet needs and doctor’s educational needs) in 1994. This educational tool has since become widespread as a learning model, adopted by colleges throughout the world, and is an integral tool used by all general practitioners for education and appraisal. His career as respected and caring family doctor was further complemented by roles as police surgeon, GP tutor, trainer, lecturer, and author.

His greatest loves outside of medicine were polo and sailing. He held athletic records and represented England at hockey as a schoolboy at Stowe. He loved bridge, poetry, fishing, shooting, hunting, “the crossword,” croquet, and fine wines. He approached everything in life with positivity and energy, infectious to those around him

He will be most dearly remembered as a loving, kind and caring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He leaves behind his wife, Gilly, to whom he was married for 34 years; three children, Charlotte, Tom, and Emily; and one grandson, Harry.
