In this News article by Zosia Kmietowicz (BMJ 2010;341:c7372 doi:10.1136/bmj.c7372) the eighth paragraph should have read: “During 2005-7 survival from ovarian cancer at one year was lower in the UK (65%) [not 60% as was stated] and Denmark than in other countries (75% [not 72%] in Canada, for example). But five years after diagnosis survival was higher in the UK than in Australia and close to the level in Canada.”
