Immunity for expert witnesses is under threat from a case coming to Supreme Court

Expert witnesses could lose their long standing immunity from being sued for negligence, in a test case that goes to the UK Supreme Court on 11 January.

The case has been brought against a consultant clinical psychologist, but the judges’ eventual ruling will apply to all expert witnesses.
