WHO recommends isoniazid to prevent TB in people with HIV: All children and adults infected with HIV, including pregnant women and people taking antiretrovirals, should be given isoniazid to protect them from contracting tuberculosis, say new guidelines from the World Health Organization. WHO recommends that isoniazid be provided for 6-36 months or as a lifelong treatment in areas with a high prevalence of HIV and tuberculosis.
