    Numbers of homicides and suicides among people with mental health problems fell for the first time in the past few years after a previous steady rise, new figures show.

    A report published on 8 July by the University of Manchester also found that it is likely that the previous rise in numbers of homicides by people with psychosis between 1997 and 2005 was due to the use of drugs, alcohol, or both.
