Americans are less healthy than 10 years ago, shows national survey

    The percentage of Americans who say they are in excellent or very good health fell between 1997 and 2009, according to the US National Center for Health Statistics.

    The report was based on the National Health Interview Survey of 87 500 people of all ages.
