The former head of the multiple sclerosis research clinic at Guy’s Hospital in London, who was suspended for 12 months by the General Medical Council for research fraud, has been allowed to return to practice.
Consultant neurologist Mohammad Sharief was guilty of misconduct for working during the first three weeks of his suspension, but the misconduct was not serious enough to impair his fitness to practise, a GMC panel held.
