MPs have called for an end to the secrecy surrounding data collection by climate change scientists after emails between one group of researchers caused uproar after they were leaked last November
The cross party Science and Technology Committee condemned the culture of withholding information by scientists at the climate research unit at the University of East Anglia. The committee, however, said that the university was at fault for failing to support scientists when they received a requests for data under the Freedom of Information Act.
