Professor Mike Pringle, the medial director for revalidation at the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), has recorded a video podcast for the college website explaining recent changes and decisions made regarding the revalidation of general practitioners. The podcast has been recorded to support version 3 of the RCGP Guide to the Revalidation of General Practitioners, which is now available at www.rcgp.org.uk/revalidation.
In the film, which is in two parts and lasts around six minutes, Professor Pringle covers the changes made to the guide and explains the reasons why they were made. He also gives an update on recent work carried out with the BMA on remediation.
Professor Pringle’s film is one of a series of short films being released occasionally by the RCGP to help keep GPs and stakeholders up to date on revalidation proposals.
