GPs are urged to raise awareness of health inequalities

    Changes in the pay scheme for GPs over the next 18 months will mean more money for GPs in areas of poor health and less money for those in better off areas, GPs were told last week at a conference in London. However, the pay package itself cannot reduce the social causes of health inequalities, the GPs were told.
