Female doctors are more likely to follow heart failure guidelines than male counterparts

Patients with chronic heart failure who were treated by female doctors received better care than patients cared for by men, a new German study has found.

It found that male doctors were less likely than women to adhere to guidelines concerning recommended treatments. It also found that men tended to provide better treatment to male patients with heart failure than to female ones.
