King’s Fund is to set up inquiry into quality of general practice

An independent inquiry to identify good quality care in general practice and how to measure it has been launched by the healthcare think tank the King’s Fund.
The comprehensive study, which is backed by GPs’ leaders, aims to draw up a set of measures of quality in some of the core activities of general practice in England, such as diagnosis, referral, and prescribing.
