    Peter John Lennox Holt (“Lennox”) was born in Chorley, Lancashire, in 1932. Raised by his mother, his father having died before he was born, he was to be greatly influenced by his uncle Dr John Rigby, a local general practitioner. Under his uncle’s guidance, he developed a passion for medicine and became a third generation doctor.
