Things aren't quite what they seem on the beautiful Caribbean island of Grenada, Robin Dart discovers

As the aeroplane banks steeply over the town of St George's, Grenada's capital, you can make out the white sandy beaches, the lush green of Grand Etang national park and the clear blue of the Caribbean Sea—everything you could possibly expect and wish for in a paradise. Grenada is the most southerly island of the Windward Islands, in the eastern Caribbean, with fantastic diving and a laid back atmosphere. But there is a hidden side that you may not see unless you happened to be there on a medical elective in orthopaedics and trauma.

On my third day I caught a bus driven by a helpful driver, and was thinking how much I liked what he had done with the bright blue dashboard, seats, and steering wheel.
