I come from a developing country where to leave or to stay is an omnipresent topic-from official debates to conversations in the corridors. As we approach graduation, this talk becomes more heated. Often the students who most seriously contemplate leaving the country and who also have the best chance are among the best and most ambitious graduates.
I often asked myself how a developing country can compete for these young professionals. Everyone talks about better payment and training-and I could not argue about the importance of these. But a less obvious part of the solution …
