In our haste to correct the name of a Scottish river that had been wrongly spelt as the Spay (see correction in BMJ 2007;334, 13 Jan, doi: 10.1136/bmj.39086.601331.BE) in an article by Edwin Heathcote (BMJ 2006;333:1304-5, 23 Dec, doi: 10.1136/bmj.39062.614132.55), we forgot to correct the arguably more important error, that the river was the wrong river, however you spell it. Maggie's Centre in Dundee cannot be “bathed in reflected light” from the Spey, but it could be (on a fine day) from the Tay.
