General practices in England delivered better care of patients in 2005-6, earning on average an extra 5% in quality and outcomes framework points (QOFs) on the previous year.
Data published by the Information Centre for Health and Social Care—which was created in April 2005 out of the former NHS Information Authority and the Department of Health's statistics unit—show that primary care teams scored an average of 1011 out of a possible 1050 points (96%), up from 959 points (91%) in 2004-5, the first year …
