Do you think that the management of eye diseases should be restricted to ophthalmologists? Most healthcare professionals answer this question with “yes” and avoid investigating and treating eye conditions without a specialist's opinion. Also, some ignore recent advances of eye laser surgery or surgical approaches to cataract and glaucoma. As a result, when they are questioned about ophthalmological issues, many regard the web as their first resource of objective and reliable information.
