Fewer Canadians are dying in hospital within 30 days of having a first heart attack than in the past, but the number of Canadians dying in hospital within 30 days of a first stroke is stable, a report has found.
Also, inhospital mortality within 30 days of admission with a new acute myocardial infarction or stroke differ significantly between men and women in Canada, the report from the Canadian Institute for Health Information says.
