As medics we often resent health service managers. It is not anything personal, but it is hard to be friendly towards people who tell us of budget cuts and set targets to achieve. I recently had the opportunity to interact with this particular breed of people in their natural environment.
A conference for human resource workers and NHS managers was held to discuss the serious problem of staff shortages. If any prospective workers were in the audience they might think twice.
