Disease categories in the top graph (highest to lowest DALYs), in order, are infectious diseases, injuries, neuropsychiatric diseases, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory infections, perinatal conditions, respiratory diseases, malignant neoplasms, nutritional deficiencies, digestive diseases, congenital anomalies, maternal conditions, musculoskeletal diseases, genitourinary diseases, diabetes mellitus, sense organ diseases, oral conditions and endocrine diseases. Skin diseases and benign neoplasms account for <1 million DALYs and are not shown.Disease categories in the bottom graph (highest to lowest DALYs), in order, are neuropsychiatric diseases, cardiovascular diseases, malignant neoplasms, injuries, respiratory diseases, digestive diseases, musculoskeletal diseases, infectious diseases, diabetes mellitus, congenital anomalies, perinatal conditions, endocrine diseases, respiratory infections, genitourinary diseases, nutritional deficiencies, oral conditions, and maternal conditions. Benign neoplasms, sense organ diseases, and skin diseases account for <0.1 million DALYs in established market economies and are not shown. The disease categories that are not shown generally had few (0-21) systematic reviews in each database.
