People's complacency about health is to blame for the United Kingdom's continued presence near the top of the European league table for deaths from heart disease, says the British Heart Foundation.
Although the latest statistics from the foundation show that fewer people are dying from coronary heart disease in the United Kingdom, because of better and earlier treatment, they also show that the decline in the death rate is slower than in other countries.
