Phil Hammonds stand up comedy show began life on BBC Radio 4 as 28 Minutes to Save the NHS, playing on Tony Blairs famous statement in 1997: “We have 24 hours to save the NHS.” Since its conception, Phil has taken his show to the Edinburgh Festival as 59 Minutes to Save the NHS. Now, his nationwide tour of the United Kingdom takes 89 minutes—it seems to be taking longer and longer.
