Prenatal growth and risk of occlusive and haemorrhagic stroke in Swedish men and women born 1915-29: historical cohort study

Don't forget genetic factors
Hypponen et al report an increased risk of haemorrhagic stroke with
impaired fetal growth. They controlled for basic growth parameters and
gestation to confirm the reduced growth but no mention is made of genetic
factors.
Were siblings also small for dates?
Has any first degree relative also experienced a haemorrhagic, or
occlusive, stroke?
Surely these would be factors of prime importance in the aetiology of
the association - presumably the purpose of this enquiry?
